Is the ladder useful for anything besides looks? It looks kind of flimsy and hard to use.
Nice looking rack but 1300$ is a LOT of money to spend on a roof rack.

Ya totally got that wrong on whose truck that is... was MIllerPKA's and now it belongs to JTHeath. But the ladder does function and is not only for looks. I have used mine several times to get up and down with gear and it has helped tremendously!

$1300 is steep, I would like to buy just the ladder though, how much would that cost?

U can get the ladder without the discount for around $200 but just be willing to wait 1-2 months to receive it.

I'm interested in the ladder I think. I'll be throwing on a SURCO rack soon, the Gobi rack is nice but $1300 is a bit out of my spending range.

Definitely my favorite roof rack on the market, but it just doesn't work well for surfboards.
