low profile bajarack?

So I just sent an email to Bajarack with a request for a lower profile version of their full length rack than what they currently have available. I basically proposed for the top rail to remain the same height as the wind fairing along the entire length of the rack instead of arching upwards. My two reason are A. aerodynamics. I know the difference will be minuscule, but every little bit helps. And B.looks. I know that may seem petty, but I love the looks of the lower profile racks suck as Gobi. If Bajarack can do this with there amazing pricepoint, it would be most excellent.

What I want to do here, is gauge interest on a rack like this. I figure the more interest there is, the more likely they will be to actually produce something like this. Any takers?

I know they already have a low profile one for the FJ Cruisers so you may be in luck! Not sure how much lower they are from the original one though. I imagine they are just shorter mounting brackets. Goodluck and keep us posted!

If they were as low profile as the Gobi rack, I would seriously consider buying one.

excellent!! they may not be quite as low as the Gobi, but definitely close. My suggestion to them was to make it one uniform height, the same height as the wind fairing. If memory serves me from my FJ bajarack, no more than 5-6 inches.

while they do make a low-pro FJ rack, that particular rack has no side rails. While I do want a low-pro rack, I still require side rails to help keep gear and equipment secure

I've been looking for something similar to that forever for the runner! I've seen stuff similar that they make for land cruisers and just about all other suv's but not a bolt up to the 4runner. I just want something flat like that that can hold done whatever and maybe hold some lights.

that flat one on the 5th gen is nice. I think it is a modified FJ rack. I love that look, I just need the upper rails for containment. The RTT racks would be perfect if I still had my EZ-awn. my only issue with those is that the space left up front for actual storage is quite minimal.
I definitely don't mind the arched look on the traditional bajarack. While I prefer the low-pro look of the Gobi's, I would still take a baja any day. A new Gobi costs almost as much as I paid for my supercharger....rediculous
