Trim Packers
I just have one quick question. I have 891 coils in the rear of my 4Runner and it sits a little lower than the front. I want to raise it so that it will be even or maybe a little taller than the front. Would I be able to stack 2 trim packers or maybe ever 3 for each coil? I think 3 might be over kill, so I would most likely put 2 on each side. I was just wondering if these were meant for additional lift. I know they are made to level out a lift if one side is lower than the other.
Thanks for the help,
vthokie

You can do 2 on each side. I have two 10mm on my left side to compensate for the sag. Sits even with the right side right now. I have 890's, but this same thing proved true on my old 99 springs.
(old photo from when I got them in Sept 2010)

Reason: rephrase to each side instead of "one side" to avoid confusion

COB is right, you can stack 2 or 3, but you must use your stock cone bump stops to hold the spacers in (some people don't reuse them when they replace their stock coils). Two 10mm trim packers stacked = ~.75".

OP, I'm having the same issue. Are there any downsides to trimpackers. I'm toying with the idea of getting 2 for each side (rear)

If you're only off by under an inch, the trim packers will do fine.
Otherwise, if you need an inch or more, why not just some rear spacers instead? Some 1 or 2 inch spacers go in exactly the same and will be safer than stacking 3+ trim packers

COB I was actually thinking about getting spacers instead if i think i want a little rake. Would there be any downside to adding the spacers?

I called toytec today and discussed my options for my rear suspension. It is currently sitting an inch below the front suspension. I have 891's and the comfort shocks. I was going to go with the 1.5 inch polyurethane spacer, but they mentioned that I could go with land cruiser coils. Either the 851's or 961's. I think it would also be worth getting extended length shocks if I were to go this route. Would it be worth all the extra money to go for new coils and shocks, or would a spacer be just fine? I could probably afford to go for coils and shocks, but I just got my ome lift and really haven't gotten any use out of the 891's and comfort shocks. It would also be nice to save some cash for other mods.

I have the 861s and they are 5"+ lift coils without constant extra weight. Mine sit at about 4" of lift with my heavy CBI bumper and tools/gear in the back. Probably not a good idea to get those for your truck. They are a little stiffer than your 891s too. I can't speak first hand about the 851s, but they are only .2" shorter and have the same spring rate as the 861s so they are almost the same..
Cruiser Outfitters
There really aren't any choices for OME coils between 3" and 5"+ of lift. If you want ~4" but don't have the weight to sag the 861/851s down, your best bet is to get 7 or 8 wrap LC coils.
I probably wouldn't stack three 10mm trim packers, but I've ran two stacked and that'll give you .75" of lift. If that's enough for lift you, I would save the money and get those. Unlike the front struts, the rear coils don't get preloaded at rest with spacers so the ride won't change at all. BTW, what front coils are you running that the 891s are sitting 1" below them?

I have 883's in the front. It isn't that they are too high, but that the 891's are sitting too low. I have a lot of gear and tools in the back, so the 891's aren't holding the weight as well as i thought they would.

I say go for the 851's.
To get the 891's to sag 1" below where your front is at you are carrying a lot of weight. The 851's or 861's will get your rear in the air. You would more than likely have some rake, but I like the look of the rear higher than the front. If the rake is too much for you, you can throw on a top plate spacer in the front as well.

I have the 883/891 combo with no sag in the rear. In fact, it's just the opposite. Do you have any kind of extra weight in the back? I guess my extended length bilsteins might have something to do with it.

Yeah I've got a bunch of weight in the back. I really like the rake look too. I think I know what I want to do, I just don't know if I can justify spending that much now after just having bought that lift... The spacers may be a temporary thing until I find out how much money I have left over after paying for school, or maybe until christmas... I hate waiting, but in this case I may wait. If I go for the 851's would I need to go ahead and get the panhard drop? I was planning on getting one eventually, but I wasn't in any rush. Thanks for the help today sn0wrunner.

Well, with that much weight, the 851s would probably be good for you. I had enough weight to sag my 891s ~1" below my 883s even with 2 trim packers stacked on them and now my 861s sit ~1" higher than the 883s.
I needed a pan hard drop. My axle was shifted over like 1.25" to the pass. side with the 861s. It's still not perfectly centered, but it's within about .25" now. I noticed my truck started to feel squirrely after the new coils since they sit so high, but the PHD took care of that.
