I guess the wife said yes then. It looks like that first Sequoia has been parked for some time (good amount of grass around it).
How much $$$ for the second one?

Yep, Normally I would start it up to move it, cut the grass and back it up but I got a little bit lazy.
I paid $1800 for the second one also.

I am diligently studying the wiring diagrams..
Some questions.
Should I transfer over the TRAC and VSC computers on to my 4runner?
Will I have a CEL if I don't have those systems hooked up.
If keep those systems, I will have to re-plumb my 4runner with Sequioa Brakes and ABS components.
The Transmissions are the same between both of them. I will use the Sequoia Transmission though because I guess that it is mated better for the V8.
The transfer case on the 4runner is better than that of the Sequoia. I think.
My 4runner has the 2wd, AWD, 4wd High and 4wd low.
The Sequioa has 2wd, 4wd (maybe AWD) and 4wd low. This might be the same Transfer case the 01 and 02 4runners have.
I think I might keep the 4runner's transfer case for simplicity..

First ... https://techinfo.toyota.com Always a good site to get all of your data from and guaranteed to be accurate.
As far as leaving out some of the Sequoia systems, You will most likely have issues. All of those systems "talk" to each other and have to continue to communicate to not have check engine lights, and to function properly.
The other thing that comes to mind is the legality of the swap. Probably not a problem where you are locally, but since you are looking to sell this one (if i read that right i just skimmed the earlier posts) Then the pain in the ass states like CA here you will need everything to work just like the donor vehicle did. Oh and if they ask the engine came from an 02 legally it would need to be the same year or newer as the vehicle it went in to.

Thanks for the heads up.
I don't plan on selling my runner. My buddy is going tell sell his thus the reason for him not wanting to do it anymore.
My runner is a 99 and the Sequoia is a 01. Should be A ok. Will be cutting the front end off the sequoia tomorrow.
I will photodocument everything as I go.
Anybody need a 1999 Toyota 3.4 motor with 90k miles?

Interesting facts:
2001 Sequoia weighs 5270 pounds, the engine pumps out 240 hp and 315 lb/ft of torque.
1999 4runner weighs 3930 pounds and its engine pumps out 183 hp and 217 lb/ft of torque.
Both transmissions have exactly the same ratios.
Both transfer cases have 1:1 and 1:2.566 gear reductions
Both use the same 4.10 final drive ratios.
Both came with 265/70-16 tires.
Wow:
The 4runner should zoom and should be able to roll 33" tires with out changing final drive ratios.
