Is this normal?

This will sound dumb I know, but I have to ask.
I just picked up a 2000 Limited 4x4, it runs like a champ, but I noticed something odd. When I am driving, the gear select and 4wd lever move back and forth. It is very slight, and seems to happen with dips in the road. Is this normal on these vehicles? I am trying to smoke it over and see if there is anything odd/needing fixed.

Thanks in advance.

It is pretty normal for slight movement in these and also the Tacoma. If it is moving considerably you should look at the condition of your transmission, and transfer case mounts as the more worn they are the more movement you will have in the selector levers.
