STOLEN (CALGARY ALBERTA) - '01 4Runner SR5 - 4x4 - Lifted & Armoured

So... my junk was stolen from my garage - between the 17th and 21st. If you haven't checked already, make sure the emergency release on your garage door is disabled. Thieves pushed the top in, used a coat hanger to trip the release and slid the door up. Once inside, raided my watches and sunglasses, knives along with my roommates sunglasses and watch. Once they found the spare key, the 4Runner was game - same with my tent, sleeping bags and camping gear. Basically anything that could be tossed in easily. Hell, even an empty jerry can.

If you see someone driving my junk, wearing my watch and sunglasses - it's not me. Call the cops.

*minus dog and jerry cans.

You have to be kidding me. That is absolutely horrible. I thought it may have been some parts, but not your 4runner. Hopefully it will be recovered in one piece and soon.

I think it was stolen for the parts... We shall see.

Gotta love life. I thought I was on karma's good side. Guess I need to make a list.

Man so sorry to hear this, it's terrible how some people are these days. Looks like you spent a LOT of time and money on your runner and then someone just takes it.. I hope you can recover your rig back in one piece, the criminals will get what they deserve eventually. Things like this make me so angry!

sorry to hear about this mate. flippin' idiots man. thing is...your runner is one-off. they won't be able to get far with it. will likely part it out. scour craigslist and ebay daily for your parts. they will turn up maybe even on this forum or other toyota forums. thieves are stupid, you might be surprised. good luck with the recovery mate.

This is brutal David. Glad to see so much support from members on here and everywhere else keeping an eye open for it. I hope it's recovered.... If I see it down here in Lethbridge I'll follow it and beat the living **** out of the driver, even if its a lady.

I'd call the insurance company and have them send you a large check for your stolen rig and then start all over again, who knows maybe it happened for the best.

And yes, i feel for you, i just hope you werent too emotionally attached too it, thats almost if not worse than the monetary loss.

Yep, just got it to where I could use it reliably. The timed that just beautifully. Makes me wonder how long they've been waiting...

Giver - the more exposure the better.
My biggest fear was writing off my '06 Tacoma - this comes in a close second.

I don't think they can sell the parts anywhere close to me - the armour I have on it is pretty special in Calgary.

Indeed! The 'Black Beast' (aka a labrador who will lick your face off) was at my parents.

I hope someone screws up and posts some of my **** for sale - that would be sweet, sweet justice. The more people that know the better.

Anyone know of a good arms dealer?

But... but... I JUST started over!

I drove this thing offroad ONCE! Went camping, ONCE!

Do I build an identical 3rd Gen? Ugh... frustration at it's finest...
