Drive/Prop Shaft Greasing Guide

Fingers crossed. I watched a video earlier and it doesn’t seem horrible (knock on wood)

Can I ask what grease gun you’re using?
Edit. Three 4Runners and I was able to grease everything, and it didn’t matter if I used my gun with the flex hose or the one with the strait pipe........

@ 19963.4lsr5
I’m using the Bravex Heavy Duty Professional Pistol Grip Grease Gun 6000 PSI - 18 inch Flex Hose from Amazon. It has a standard coupler attachment on it. Using Mystik no. 2 high temp red grease
@ JZiggy
I’ll definitely give the zerk a spray with some penetrating oil to see if it’ll rotate. That would be fantastic and I’d love life if it did, lol. Thank you for the suggestions.
I will advise later this week once I am able to make some headway on this

Try heating it with a propane torch also. Spray it and heat it until the moisture burns off and spray and heat a few more times. If it’s rusted that should do it.
You won’t hurt anything putting heat to it.

Beware the synthetic rubber grease seals on the bearings.

No success. I was able to remove the zerk from the u-joint itself and figured out that if I install a 90 degree zerk then I can get my grease gun on there and get it filled. Problem is, I can’t find the right 90 degree zerk with the right diameter and thread pitch anywhere locally. Anyone have places they recommend?

Edit: I ended up just buying multiple 90 degree zerks, two 6MM and two 8MM, in case I need anymore for the future

Should've thought of this earlier. I'm sure I have a spare one I could toss in an envelope for you. Let me know.

Can I use Moly-Lithium Grease for all points since I have it? I'm sure it would be better than no grease for 10 years.
