Tail lights: Smoked or Black?

I heard good things about the SaberSport tail lights. Can anyone post some pics of what they look like on your truck? I am wondering if I should get the black or smoked lights for my silver 4runner. Here is a link to the product I am talking about:

There is a guy that I used to wheel with that had smoked tails. I hated following him in the day time because it was so hard to tell when his brake lights were on.

I too had a hard time deciding on those same 2 options. What color is your rig again? IMO the lighter colors look better with the smoke ones and darker colors look good with the black.

Or if you want the best of both worlds get the black ones and smoke them out like i did. I think they are the last ones listed on the thread mentioned above.

I check mine contantly in all types of light, direct sun, etc I want make sure people can still see them. And yeah the running lights seem hard to see in the direct light but the brake lights are visible at all times of the day. I'm pretty sure as long as the lights haven't been caked with night shade or something it should be visable in any light. I've been in multiple situations where its been so bright outside it was hard to see the brake lights in regular old halogen OEM set ups on cars

I went with the Black housings/ clear lens and smoked them myself. They key is LIGHT coats!

Here is a recent picture with the brake lights on taken on a pretty bright day. Still very easily visible I think..

I dont know why those smoke ones Gerdo saw were hard to see. were they LED?

here are some pics of mine, I used the black shadow stuff for mine,

Smoked looks perfect on a silver colored truck IMO.
