Arrow 1Z einszett Klima-Cleaner - A/C Odor + Bacteria Cleaner?

Anyone use this stuff to kill the musty smell from our AC? Or something similar?

My 4Runner is getting funky!

Thanks

I was about to order that thing, when someone recommended this (Quest odor eliminator) : Quest/8 oz. odor eliminator (OE-1) | Odor Eliminator | AutoZone.com_.
Its sold at my local Autozone so I don't need to pay and wait for shipping.

Its effective when used in my 4Runner. The AC smells fresh, and until now, after 5 months the bad odor didn't come back.

But in my my other vehicle, which has cloth seat cover and cloth floor mats..its ineffective Sure it killed the molds and bacterias in the AC evaporator, but the smell on the seat covers and cloth floor mats get circulated and again will contaminate the AC.

So it depends, If you are sure that the smell comes from the AC, those products are good. because it will kill the bacterias and molds in its source.

Yes its defiantly coming from the A/C. I try to turn it off prior to coming home and put it on fresh air from recirculate, but it isn't working.

I'll check out the stuff you suggested.

I ended up getting the Quest stuff locally and it works great. The musty smell is totally gone and there isn't much of an after smell from the cleaning agents.

This one is designed to go through the drip pipe instead of from inside the vent. The drip pipe is pretty easy to access if you remove two of the clips in the fender skirt which gives you access to the pipe. I cut the nipple off the hose and it fit inside perfectly.

Anyway so far so good!

I used the wurth stuff in my VW. It was like a bug bomb, you pull the pin and let your car run with the ac in recirc mode. It takes about 20 minutes. It did a an alright job, enough to sell the car. The car smelled pretty bad, when the ac was on.
