Talking upgraded frontend, now with icon's and camburg uca's!!!

Since installing my toytec spacers over two years ago, I have pretty minimal work on my truck. My cv's finally ripped a couple weeks ago so I went to my local Toyota dealership to get new boots and LBJ's since I'll probably be next to have them fail.
While in the parts dept inoticed the icon coilovers on the wall and had to wipe the drool from my chin. I got home, checked my account balance and realized I have saved far much more than I thought. The next page I hit was wheelers off-road for the icon extended travel coilovers and camburg uca's combo. Place in cart, take a deep breath and try to realize what I'm about to do. Trigger pulled, bam! Order confirmed.
everything came by Friday when I got home from work and I couldn't wait. Checked the fridge and there was plenty of beer for the events about to unfold. Well its now Sunday and I just finished torquing the last nut. Holy crap that was rough, but now I have rebuilt cv's, new LBJ's, uca's and coilovers! Just need to get alignment done now.

Cool, I just finished my Icon install yesterday!

Did you leave them at 2" pre set? I'd like to see how your truck sits with 890's in the rear.

Do you have a "how to" on you ICON install. I.e what you used, how long it took, what you need.

Its very straightforward, it took me about an hour and a half or so to swap my old coil-overs with the new ones.

- Undo top nut on sway bar end
- Jack up one side, support on frame, let suspension droop, loosen upper A-arm bolt that goes through the bushings.
- Take bottle jack, put upside-down, small end on castle nut on upper A-arm, and the bottom on the top inner wheel well, and turn it by hand to move your suspension down.
- Undo top 3 nuts, back off until they've got about 1 thread left
- Turn jack more until you see some space showing on the upper coilover
- Once you see the coil-over move down a bit, you can pull the lower mount bolt out real easy.
- Jack the bottle jack further until its far enough you can slide in new Icon coilover
- Put 3 bolts on top in, slide lower mount bolt in.. DONE

Your local Toyota dealership's parts dept had a display of Icon's? How come I smell BS? Since when does a Toyota dealership display non TRD crap?

i just got my alignment done today, and holy **** these bad boys are sweet. i was going to leave the settings where they were with the 2" lift but my tires rubbed, i didnt mind the rake as long as i could have all that down travel. so i adjusted them another half inch lower since that should give me another inch of lift. i still have about another inch till im at the 2 1/8 max point. honestly though i think im sitting at the same height i was with 3" spacers and stock springs.

expensive, but damn i can mall crawl now. watch out speed bumps, you're mine!!!

Is there a deal I'm missing on these icons?!
I feel like there have been more then 2 threads of install. Seems like a lot considering I figure they are $1000+ coilovers

I'm just jealous. But really if there is a deal. Let me in on it!

no great deals going on. i have been wanting them forever and finally saved up enough to buy them. just timing i guess. i saved some money by purchasing the combo with uca's from wheelers.
