Matching Fronts to LC Coils

I'm looking at a set of 8 wrap coils for the rear. What are my options to get the front to match? Would I be able to do a 3" lift spring and maybe a spacers, or a higher setting on a bilstein? I'm not at all looking for a nose heavy rake.

You could go with the Tundra Struts, and add a coil pack spacer.....but I wouldn't recommend it. It would most likely ride terribly, and the angle on the CV joints would not be healthy either.....

If you don't like the rake, I would simply get the shorter LC Coils, or try some rear OME 890's with it's counterpart for the front.....should sit pretty level.

Do like fightman80 says but get a heavy rear bumper to level it out

OME 882 or 883's with top plates will work. I'm running the 861's in the rear and it sits perfect. I wish the fronts on these could go higher but the COG is just too high.

any kind of lift to the front is gonna be hard on the cvs- i shat two boots not even two weeks after I lifted mine.. I'm running taco springs with a spacer up front. If your ok with it sitting lower I would just switch the rear set up, or add some weight to the back..

I don't think the OP ever posted if it was 2wd or 4wd. If you have 2wd, you don't have to worry about "over" lifting the front. If you've got CV's then 3" should be the max lift you should run without having to worry about them getting destroyed.

The problem, with 4wd or not, with lifting the front end so high is you are using up ALL of your downtravel of the suspension. It also requires more force to push the suspension back up because of the increased angle of the A-arms and most likely the increased effective spring rate.

For offroading, and on-road driving it is detrimental to set the front on or past 3" of lift. You will have no flex, no comfort, no real working suspension. Your truck will absolutely suck offroad, and it will absolutely suck on-road. Its not worth it.

With these trucks, your best bet is to lift <2.5" in the front and <3.5" in the rear, and use a body lift or fender trim to allow for bigger tires.

I'm thinking a 7 or 8 wrap with ome up front and maybe a heavy rear bumper? I'm going to go ahead with a diff drop and if I need it I'll throw a small bl on there to clear the tires. My only other question is could I run the ome fronts with a top spacers and do the diff drop to keep cv angles acceptable?

The cv angles are never acceptable on these things. The diff drop just doesn't do a whole lot in my opinion. A one inch diff drop equates to like a quarter inch change in cv angle. It's worth the $30 just not as required as some seem to think. I can take a pic of what mine look like if you'd like? I'm out of town and posting from my iPhone so it would be easier to email you the pic. Pm me your email if you'd like to see it.

Thanks for the pic. I guess the cv angles are going to be terrible reguardless. Now, my newest question: Can I use Bilstein 5100s up front with OME springs? They have settings for 2.5" of lift so I'm assuming they would be ok on stock height setting with 3" of lift?

Next week I'll be installing OME 883's & 890's with 5100's all around. From what I've heard, they work great together.

OME stuff are not that good at all, i dont know why people like them so much, i have 8.25 wrap for the rear and for front i have billstein 5100 adjustables with eibach 650lb coils and they level it out kinda, so if you have 8 wrap yours will be perfectly leveled

The coils I'm looking at are the Lexus coils. I believe the sticky lists them at 8.25/8.75. I'm assuming I could run the higher spring rate ome springs up front with the bilsteins to level it out some. Maybe a small spacer too?
