Ha, not sure if I will ever sell it or evolve it into more of a trail rig. I am going to get a LC200, probably next year and it might go up for sale then.
Where do I get these headlights? I saw them once in a post from Russia. Also saw some dual bulb corner markeres.

We should do that. I like going fast rather than crawling and don't want to beat up the body.

By the way, your recent coilovers were why I ended up looking for a set. I was talking about and showing your 4runner to the GF last week.

So where do you get power from when wiring this ?

Wow. This is an amazing build

Dude, the love and dedication you put into transforming this rig is nothing short of amazing. I've only made it through half of the thread but just absolutely love the work you've done.

How is it guys, does anyone have a writeup on the tire carrier install? Looking to purchase and I'm fascinated by the Japanese Domestic Market stuff and would like to get a Japanese version tailgate and the tire carrier but I am not finding a write up on the carrier installation process.

OP were you able to install it? If so can you please share?

Nice

Nicely done on the hatch, so the carrier piece; i take it that that is reinforced behind the body. What kind of tubing setup did you use? Have you had any issue with the carrier separating from the body due to strain? Came across a hatch like yours on ebay and working with the seller now on the shipping. Thanks

Couple things I didnt know when buying a hatch. There are 3 styles of spoilers, mirrored, diving board, and the small one that Jaos/bertman have replicated. Both the diving board spoiler and the mirrored spoiler are paired with a different hatch then the small spoiler.

The mirrored version has a hole in the sheetmetal for brackets and for the harness to pass through. Something to keep in mind if you want to interchange spoilers.

I began patching the holes in the panel today.

Got the hatch holes patched and a small amount of filler applied. Took a bit of time to tact in the patch. Also drill a hole and ran the wire for the rear light.

Also put a coat of paint on the carrier. The hinge isn't frozen any longer after using most of a can of pb blaster. I got this for $30 and didn't know until I got it why it was so cheap.

Excited to get this on today, but too tired to finish it. I had them paint the licence plate light body color to make it cleaner on the rear.

I had to pull the emblem off and fill the cover panel but I think its going to look much cleaner than the black light.

He's no longer active but if you search, I believe Ripcord and a couple of others have full writeups of bulbs and everything.

He wrote he got them from Rumin sports. And I do have them too. But as the plasic of the lens holder did not match my expectations I replaced it with somethig more solid. And put real HID in.

The truck looks gorgeous with those headlights :-)

Climate takes the same wedge style led bulbs, 4 IIRC. I forget what size. Since my climate is again on the fritz, ill be replacing them again soon.

Started the runner for first time in 9 months... started right up (after replacing the battery). Kinda frustrating, 31M battery from odyssey swapped terminal sides and kept the same part number. I ended up wasting a lot of $ on shipping to find that out. I had to revert to a 34 and buy an new tray/holder.

We had some snow and it will linger for a weekish and the ms. needs something to drive.

Howzit Brilliant! It’s been a while. Good to here the truck is alive and well. The group 34 by Odyssey is different than the ones I’m running. They have a different part number. We should go out exploring a day before I move back home. Brilliant's Mod Thread

Curious that they've blurred out the Toyota logo on that eBay ad LOL

For some reason none of the pictures in your thread are showing up for me
