Defroster

I have been having a problem where my rear defroster will not turn on most times - it does turn on once in a while tho. I know that if the window isn't up all of the way, there is a switch that will not allow it to go on... has anyone had any problems with this switch?

It it easy to replace? Any other ideas on what this problem, might be?

How to remove the rear panel to inspect the switch?

Thanks,

-Mark

Mark,
I do not have the answer to your situation but I want to thank you for giving me the answer to mine.

I did not know the defroster would not work if the window was not all the way up. I guess mine was not quite all the way up today and it stopped the defroster from turning on. I checked all the fuses and was getting frustrated. I did a search on the forum and there is your post.

Thanks again

This Coors (no bud in Colorado) is for you

So, yesterday I did a serious radiator flush and thermostat replacement after purchasing a 95 3.0 automatic 4runner (which had been sitting for a year, and the radiator had rusty chunks in it) and after flushing it until there was very minimal orange hue to the water coming out the bottom(7times or so) I refilled my radiator with 50/50 and notice that when I turn my vehicle off radiator fluid come out of the expansion tank...is this normal? Lol. And for some reason my front defroster only blows warm air sometimes, not all of the time..any ideas?
