Hacked up my Wilco Hitchgate Solo to build something that actually fits the 4th Gen.

5100s are on! Also set fronts to 1.75" and it came out great, got rid of the sag. The ride is a bit more firm, responsive and removes the 'boaty' feeling, much more pleasant to drive. Got an alignment too of course, couldn't be happier! Now to remove the running boards!

Not really today but in the last week I scaled the frame and blew the sand out of the inside of it (lots). While scaling I found a couple spots that were no longer metal so welded some new steel in. Then it went in for inspection and a Fluid Film bath. They found a bad upper ball joint so lacking time I had them replace it. Should be good for winter now I hope.

Did some exhaust leak chasing, replaced an O2 sensor, installed a replacement headlight since one fogged up AND found this little nugget of joy....

The alignment cam could be moved around easily and the bolt was loose. The cam tab seems to have been flattened by something, so I beat on it a bit to try to get it back to where it'd at least hold the cam. Any suggestions??

I replaced all 4 rotors and pads this weekend, and thankfully the kit I ordered (powerstop from rockauto) came with new pins for the front, and hardware kit for the back. Also swapped to spidertrax spacers in the rear, installed some RAD Rubber Design engine splash guards, replaced my front wipers, and tried and failed to wire an aux input in my 2003 JBL headunit, and a 2008 JBL headunit.

Total Chaos can tab gussets. Replaces those wimpy brackets with thicker steel. Needs welding though. I’ll do mine when I eventually rebuild my LCA’s.
