Ordered a new battery!

04 Sport still has the original battery! Seemed to be fine but it sat since sunday and died. Now that i think about it the guy just did the alternator so maybe the battery being weak contributed to needing the alternator done.

Getting a Autocraft Platinum AGM. Was between that and a Duracell AGM from sams club but in the end I got a slightly better price on the advance one with some coupons. Overspent on this truck so far so need to save where I can! About $155 with tax.

Finally got around to putting something more modern in the T4R with the following:

Pioneer MVH-1400NEX
Metra 95-8202
CRUX SWRTY-61S
CCD Backup camera in place of the license plate light

At this point closing isn't such a big deal to me but I could change my mind on that. Thanks!

I know you have to go to the motor to wire it for up but I believe down you can do with a wire up front. I’ll double check in my system tomorrow and let you know.

I put in a new Alpine double DIN head unit. I like it a lot. Now I think I want to put in an amp specifically for the sub and it'll be good.

Fugly wheels.

Much better with Sequoia wheels.

@xtremewlr , I like those wheels. Limiteds have the same larger front rotors as the Sport Edition, right? Want to be sure those wheels will work on my SE.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

First day owning my ‘08 4Runner and I drove her to the Leaning Tower of Dallas. I got to test the 4WD a little bit more in the field for some pictures! Loved it! Can’t wait to start doing some mods over spring break.

Cleaned up the interior a little (long overdue)... Managed to snap my shift release cap while doing it

Replaced all of my burnt out HVAC lights with some eBay LEDs. The OEM sockets are way better but these function better than dead bulbs.

Also upgraded all the interior lights to LED. I'm not typically a fan of the cool white light but they'll hopefully be brighter.

I’m planning on doing the same. Could you post some pictures of the cool white LEDs?

Installed an ARB Twin Compressor today using the @ mount with the switch bracket. Extremely impressed with the quality of his mount. Well thought out. Every worked out pretty good.

FWIW, I feel I can’t see nearly as well after replacing my map & dome lights w/ LEDs. Maybe it’s the temperature of the light but it’s tougher to read things for example.

Or maybe I’m just old.

Replaced my gas tank straps. Rear was separated into 2 pieces due to rust. I was able to loosen the skid plate and snake it in. Then I dropped the skid entirely and replaced the front strap which was still intact but rusty. Finally pulled off factory running boards. Also, replaced rear brakes, added hitch recovery hook, and replaced original spare tire with a Wildpeak to match the other 4.
