I started the process of sound deadening the 4runner yesterday. So far I've covered the rear hatch/wheel wells and working my way towards the front seats. I ordered another box so I can probably do all the doors, might as well since I have all the panels off right now. haha

Is your air working?
I replaced the vent selector servo yesterday. I got the 4Runner back in March last year and removed the original as soon as I got home because it had been clicking. Actually helped me negotiate down the price quite a bit. Fast forward to getting quarantined this week and the wife asking why we only had defrost… it was not complicated just tough trying to up under the dash. Was not successful in getting the last mounting screw in place but it seems sturdy enough. Stoked that the dual climate works now and we can select where the air goes. Crazy to think this truck is 14 years old. It has every modern gizmo that our new cars have save the adaptable cruise control.

I have a back up camera to install and I've been trying to figure out where I want to install it. Of course my first thought was the back hatch above the license plate, but I'm thinking I will barely see the spare tire on the swing out. So my next thought was to install in the spoiler...has anyone done this? My spoiler is aftermarket so I know how many bolts and what not cause I installed it. It seems pretty straight forward, just more work that I wanted to do. haha.

Built a slide out drawer / table & side pocket system over the last few days (don't worry, gonna find a way to properly mount / reuse old cargo netting and tie down jerry can, just was sitting in there at the time):

After being sick in bed and on lockdown with the omicrons for the last week I had severe cabin fever and desperately needed some fresh air. Went for a drive in the hills for a few hours. Felt nice to stretch the legs.

Having installed a backup camera above the license plate, the spoiler should be quite a bit easier as far as running wire and navigating the back window movement.
I remember coming across a spoiler install when researching mine and it seemed pretty simple.

I plan on installing one there eventually. I've seen a post from someone who did it in a gx470 and the viewing angle looked great. Seems like the perfect spot to me. I'd like to get one of those digital screen backup mirrors and have the reverse camera function full time as the mirror.

Thanks guys, yeah the view looks awesome from the spoiler. Especially cause I have a custom spare tire swingout. I'll probably end up doing it after I do the sound deadening project.
Today I pulled the front seats/center console/carpet out of the 4runner. The rest of the material should come in tomorrow so I'll be ready for install. Next will be the doors and then I think I am going to go ahead and do the roof.

Installed leds for high low and fog lights, no problems there. I also added some bright leds for reverse lights, these were far more interesting. While the new bulbs technically fit the sockets they did not allow for the sockets to be installed back in the housing. I ended up ordering some pigtails that fit the new leds and soldering them to the contacts on the taillights. They work like a charm and now my backup camera functions at night.

Yes it is. Wanted to retain the ability to tow a decent amount still otherwise I would have used their high clearance hitch

Replaced the radiator last week. Very happy I did this myself and did not have the shop do it for the quoted $950. Hardest part was removing the spring clamps off the radiator/transmission hoses.
Took the money I saved and got myself some power tools to make future maintenance easier as well as supplies for when I start tackling the surface rust.
