$1200 and some change later…I got my brake unit ordered! Should be here shortly and installed when I get the rest of my parts from the deer hit! I cannot wait until she’s back to normal!

Contact cleaner usually does the trick, use wd40 first then and actual electric contact cleaner.

If you plan on doing it again you can add dielectric grease for added peace of mind.

at least that is what I tell myself.

I actually considered adding some dielectric grease, and am probably going to - good call!

I got the SRS module out today... not fun! It's supposed to be covered in mud, right? Used one was $80 so rather than trying to salvage this one, I'm replacing with used which will be here in a few days. Anyone know if srs modules need to be programmed?

Never changed an srs module, but I've heard a buddy with a shop mention they do need reprogramming.

I spray some contact cleaner on the airbag sensors too, there should be 8 if I'm not mistaken.
(2 on the front radiator support bracket, 2 under the front seats, 2 on the lower side of the b pillar and 2 on the c pillar but those are shoulder height)

The flood line isn't too bad tho, check the sensors on the front, under the seats and by the b pillar.

good luck

Started my winch install. Decided that since I don’t have my recovery/frame tie-ins that I’d go on a trail run instead

Did you have to relocate control box? I think we have the same winch and bumper now. Glad to see it all fits lol.

The control box doesn’t seem to clear the hood release, at least on my initial test fit. I plan on mounting it back in front of the radiator. I haven’t decided on a spot yet exactly. Maybe below the horns. I also need to clearance the opening behind the fair lead because the cable seems to drag along the bottom opening edge. I have the Smittybilt xrc gen 2 9500.

I think the Hawse fair lead for synthetic rope might fit better on this bumper. The fair lead that came with the winch is massive lol.

Yeah I just looked at your build thread again and saw the last post. That thing is pretty bulky huh? Hopefully everything goes smooth that day. I will be posting in here when done for sure.

FYI if you're curious... the new (used) srs module fixed my flashing airbag light and no programming was necessary. That was the last of the apparent issues from my submerging, so as long as nothing else pops up all is well now!

Deer hit is fixed!! I threw some extra reinforcement welds on my adapter plate to bumper bar for the winch while I was in there. Also cleaned up the lower grill area where the fairlead and ditch lights are. Was in a hurry when we cut the hole in the top of the cover for the winch remote the first time. Decided to spend an extra few minutes on it so much tighter now. Next time I get a slow day at work that break plants going in!

Trans fluid exchange at 218k with Maxlife. Wish me luck lol

218k fluid, still kinda red. Monitored temps over the past couple weeks and never saw over 163° around town

How I was able to pump fluid out by myself. Filled through the fill port on the trans. Overall easier job than I was expecting
