Does anyone know if a V6 4x4 frame will work on a V8 4x4?

Basically just what the rifle says. I know thet are 2 different part numbers and the trans crossmember is different. I've searched all over a can't get a definitive answer. Some say it will work, some say no. Some say there are some accessories that bolt up differently.

Any help would be appreciated.

It will work but there may be a few mods necessary to "make" it work, but no hill for a climber.

The motor mounts will most likely be different. That could be a welding/fabrication endeavor.

As you mentioned the difference in transmission cross members, hopefully the frame would have provisions for either one to be mounted.

After that?
Different drive shaft length? possibly...

That's my worry, the engine mount area. If they bolt up differently I don't want to start welding and either get it wrong or create another problem.

CUrious how this ended, were you able to confirm what or if there is any significant difference?

@BlackWorksInc may know

I haven't yet. I was hoping more would chime in with so many views. I'm in the middle of doing a timing belt and pulleys, water pump, intake gasket, all fuel injectors, VCG, new hoses, detailing the engine with everything apart so i kinda put the other 4runner on the back burner.
