Thanks for the info, I ended up going with the 5100's set to 0 with toytec/eibach springs on the from and got 2.5inches of lift. I'm really happy with the ride and can't wait to do the back. For the back i'm thinking 5100's with toytec super flex coils.

Thats with his suspension fully drooped. Under normal circumstances it should be just fine. Obviously not what you want for offroad use, but it doesn't look like that what he is going for[/QUOTE]

Yeah, I'm just looking to get rid of the forward rake. I had a Tacoma that I put front spacers on. I want something similar. The Bilstiens are currently set at the 2nd, 0.85, setting. And I dont think the front is high enough.

So what's easier and/or cheaper to do?

Install spacers or take the struts off and move the adjust up another setting on the Bilstien.

I mean it would probably be easier to do spacers. How much higher do you want the front to be?

2004 sr5 4x4 daily driver and no extra body weight. Thinking of going with 5100 around and wheelers springs both front and back, no spacers. I think the wheelers are comparable to the eibachs 620. I understand these have a stiffer ride than stock and I donít mind since I may use it for trails and camping. Anyone have this set up? What is the lift gain, my research is between 1-2Ē front and back. Just hoping to get a little extra lift but no higher than 2.5Ē. Please advise if I need to set the front at a different perch to level/slight rake with the rear springs.

Thanks

I would go with the Eibach spring, you will want the extra lift to level it out, leave the the 5100 at 0. Wheelers springs will keep the factory rake, about an inch front to back.

I'm buying the adjustable units from SPC/Light Racing so I can get the extra castor adjustment for proper tracking at highway speeds.

I have Bilstein 5100's with Toytec springs and they clear me 3" of lift.

So eibach up front and wheelers in the back, no spacers. Or all eibach springs....thanks.

This is with the 5100s at the 2nd setting, 0.85. And this is what it looks like

I'd like the front to sit pretty much level. That's what I did with my Tacoma. But still unsure of how high I need to go. I was gonna bump up the 5100s to the next setting, 1.75. And hope that would be good.

It would be easier for me just to add spacers. I don't have the proper compressor to disassemble the struts.

I would go with the Wheelers, made by Eibach anyways.

There is a youtube video on how to do it without the compressor actually. But its still harder than doing just the spacer. I think that if you went up one more setting it would be perfect, might be worth doing that instead of the spacer if you don't mind the extra work

Places like Auto Zone will rent them.

Thanks to those that responded. Iím new to the 4Runners. Just to recap, I have a 2004 4runner v6 4x4 sr5. When driving I feel the truck wobbles and donít feel safe... especially at high speeds...like Iím going to jerk the steering to one direction after hitting a bump or dip in the road.

Iím wanting to/will put 5100 all around and use the wheelers t1 and t12 springs. I think it will give me about 1.75-2Ē of lift with the 5100 set at zero, no spacers. I donít mind a slight rake. I will not be carrying extra weight unless im hitting the dirt trails but no rock climbing. This truck is my daily driver.

With the 5100 and wheelers coils, would I need to change any other suspension parts? Iíve read that the sway links should be upgraded to longer ones, but do I need to since Iím under 3Ē of lift? If so, any recommendations that wonít break the bank. Iíve also read that older gen 4runner links may fit and are longer. Thanks

I have a 2007 V6 SR5. I plan on building a drawer system, adding a roof rack, roof top tent. I've been thinking of going with bilstein 5100's and adding OME springs. should I beef up the suspension more or will this setup be okay with all that added weight?
