I have the OME lift kit and did not do either, but am planning on installing aftermarket UCAs in order to get my alignment back into spec and eliminate the steering wander i have when on the trails

My 07 4runner has 275K and desperately needs new suspension. While I'm at the suspension I figured I might as well do the ball joints, control arm bushings and rear CA bushings as well. (parts are in, waiting to finish buying everything) I figured while I'm at THAT I might as well lift it lol.

I'm looking to lift and level but not break the bank. I offroad from time to time but mainly daily driver. Here's what I have come up with (any help would be appreciated).
-Bilsteins 5100s all way round
-OME 884 Front Coils
-OME 895 Rear Springs
-Geolander M/T G003 255/75/17....

Thanks

Question on 5100s.

Bought a used set a year ago and I'm about to install but noticed that i can't compress or extend the shocks at all, as if they were stuck or locked.

Are they supposed to be that tight? or did i get robbed? never had shocks that hard to move but I'm new to truck world.

Thanks!

Are they fully extended currently? Most of the time they are pressurized and will be extremely tough to compress by hand. Put your full body weight on it and it should compress a bit. Putting those on is going to be a joy LOL

just installed new icon suspension on the rear, and i'm getting a full inch difference for right to left, any ideas why that would be happening? is drivers side lean that significant?

suspension

Hey thanks for all the info.

I just bought my first 4 runner. which is 2003 limited with xreas suspension. hate to say, my rear suspension is toast. i dont do much off roading, but i would like to have smooth ride. can i get rid of the xreas suspension all together and get aftermarket suspension? or should i stick with xreas suspension. looks like it is very costly.

Lots of threads on here about XReas delete. I took my XReas off this year and replaced it with Bilsteins from a 2019 Tacoma TRD off-road (cost me $105, also lots of info about this on here) and I’m super happy with it.
Enjoy!

The “X-REAS delete...” post linked in my sig should be helpful.

I have a Toytec BOSS kit installed. I recently added a steel front bumper with winch and lost about 1". Thinking about upgrading to 700 lb springs (Current springs are 600 lb). Does anyone know which springs would fit the BOSS coilovers? Is 700 lb ok or would 650 lb be better?

Shocks/Struts/Springs for XREAS/RAS

If I want to keep my XREAS/RAS System for my '04 Limited v8 4x4 and install new shocks/strut/spring combo for the road, no lift, where can I find them other than Toyota? I've looked for 2 hours online, no luck... Thanks in advance..

AFAIK it's not recommended to lift rear 5100 higher than 2 inches as it's going to overextend it. Can you post a pic of your rake btw? Curious how it looks like.

I was wondering the same thing. I got 35.5 FD and 36 FP with my 3rd gen Tacoma TRD front swap, but am still debating what to do with the rear as I want a slight rake, but I don't think I want quite that much.

Will do.
I was surprised I got that much lift.
OME 295E was suppose be a 1.5-2.0 lift.
Hopefully it will settle.

What happen if you go beyond 2.5?
What part does it extend?
