I had the same decision and went 6112 with 5160 and Icon 2” rear spring. The 6112 is much larger and generally rides better than 5100. The 5160 was designed to match this but I wrestled with the idea of doing 5100s in the rear. I’m sure it would have been fine but I had a little extra cash and was okay paying more for 5160.
In my opinion, if you’re not getting lift springs with the 5100, and instead you’re adjusting the circlip to accommodate a higher lift on the stock spring, you may have poor/harsh ride characteristics at low speed.
