[QUOTE=Bluesky 07;3783256]Thanks, I appreciate your kind words. I have no direct experience with the 5100 though I did have the Bilstein TRD Offroad shocks from a 2020 Tacoma on the front of my truck. They're similar to the 4600, which is similar to the 5100. (Others may chime in detailing the exact differences, and that's fine; it's why I said "similar.") So my front coils were the ones Toyota paired with those TRD Offroad shocks. Coincidentally, I just took them off as I went with Eibach all around, so here's what they look like.
if i use TRD Offroad shocks and springs from a 2000 Tacoma on the front from my 2006 4runner v6 2wd, what should i use for the rear?

My recommendation is the 4Runner specific Bilstein 4600 shock (p/n 24-186049 but double-check to be sure that fits your truck). For springs, you can re-use your stock springs or look for some FJ springs.
You can also use the rear shocks off a Tacoma, you just have to replace the bushings. I ran those with no problem but eventually switched them out for the 4600s mentioned above b/c they're a lot beefier than the Tacoma shock. That makes sense since the bed on a pickup truck makes the rear end lighter than that of an SUV. There's lots of info on this in the post linked in my sig.

Do you have any recommendations for coils that will pair well with 5100's?

Wow only 170k kms, nice I though my 03 V8 LTD with 208k was doing good. I put 5100s all around on mine and they are doing good, not quite the cornering on curvy roads ability of the Xreas, but still good. Sorry can't help you with the other parts as my is pretty much stock with rear airbags. Looking to upgrade to a GX460. Good luck with your mods.

Need some advice here. I have a 2003 toyota 4Runner sports edition and decided I wanted to level it out. I got a rough country 3/2 kit made for the xreas system. Well me and a buddy really messed it up and before doing research on it, disconnected both driver and passenger side hydraulic lines. My xreas system is completely done for. I believe my best option now is to delete the xreas so, the question is, will the leveling kit I got work for other shocks? I really don’t want to have to trash the brand new kit if I don’t have too.

Don't know the answer but if you're removing X-REAS, these docs from the service manual, kindly hosted by
@ jcaino
, will be helpful.

I would suggest contacting the manufacturer of the leveling kit and see what they say.

Need help getting started with lift/build
I just recently purchased a 2005 v8 and want to lift and put wheels/tires on.
I'd like to at some point run 35s, but for now 33s are the easiest option. I saw a video of some guy fitting 285 Nitto Grapplers on stock 4runner with no rubbing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2KUxdBwJow
I'd like to go with the same tire, and was hoping to avoid trimming. Is this possible? I am also planning on getting -12mm offset wheels, a 2.5" lift/level, and SPC UCAs. What is the best bang for buck suspension setup to reduce rake and lift rear by 2.5"? I have a hard time finding shocks and struts that hike the rear up 2.5". It seems like the options are either 2" or 3". Does the OME 2.5" lift kit raise the front and rear both by 2.5"; and not fix any rake?
Thanks

Would I have any issues using these TRD Off Road Tacoma on my 07 V6 4Runner? Would I get any lift?

What year is the Tacoma? Also, see the suspension post linked in my sig. I used a similar set up before eventually switching to Eibach. I got 1.5 to 2 inches in the front so it basically leveled my truck. There’s a picture in that post after I put on the TRD Off-Road Tacoma gear.

I used gear off a 2020 with no problems. If nothing significant changed between then and 2022, you should be good. Someone else may know for certain.

Seeing next to no builds for 4th Gen with Bilstein 8112/8100...I know its a $4,300 setup, but really, no builds!?!
Am I a nut for considering this setup for my 05 V8? Should I just do 6112/5160 and save $2.5k?
Its mostly stock, but have been doing hard wheeling and am ready to take the plunge. Daily driver/desert basher/trail crawler/light camping build, planning to spend $8-11k btwn complete armor and shocks.

For considering it? No. But, with the caveat that I’ve been perfectly happy first with a couple of lightly used Tacoma TRD Offroad setups and now with Eibach all around, I can’t imagine there’s a difference that’s significant and/or quantifiable enough to be worth $2,500.

Yep, I get it. I guess I'm just a sucker for cool tech. The 3 compression zones is just so cool to me. My commute has some insane potholes, they move every day I swear. I'm just dreaming about how they'd feel at 70, lol. Not to mention the whoops and slickrock trails......
But the 6112's gotta be very similar...can't imagine I would notice $2,500 worth of a difference vs the 8112's.
Just so worried I'm going to get the 6112's and regret not going a step further. Dozens of hours of research have yet to convince me either way. Struggle.

I definitely understand the fear of “what if?” But IMO, the bolded sentence is your answer, again with a caveat that my threshold for justifying spending more may be higher than yours.
