Thanks for adding yet ANOTHER "watched" item in my ebay watch list!

Looks good - favorite I've seen so far.

So we have confirmed this will fit for a 2004 with or trimming, drilling or fabrication?

Is there a difference in the placement of the holes on the frame from 04 to 07?

Anyone else installed this push bar?

It doesn't fit my 03 and the problem is exactly the same as shown in post 12.

I think I might have put it on the wrong way since there's no installation guide but there doesn't seem to be another way to do it without taking the whole bumper off or let the thing hang really low(3~4 inches lower than the towing hooks upfront which doesn't make much sense)

are you sure the mounting brackets sit on top of the bumper frame as listed in post 12? or would they sit underneath and in turn have the entire push bar sit lower on the grille. This may provide the horizontal clearance you are looking for when mounting. I can see how it would decrease clearance but increase overall bumper protection. Did you reference the schematic listed in post 17 regarding bracket fitment issues?

Would love to hear tamiyatim's input with pics of how to mount!

That's a good point. Actually I did try the underneath position but it hangs really low (from tamiyatim's last photo in post #8 I'd say he didn't do an underneath mounting)

Another problem is that as seen in the schematic, there are only 4 M8 nuts which should all be used on the support brackets. There indeed were only 4 in the package and the M8X120 bolts without nuts certainly won't hold the underneath mounted main brackets in place(will simply fall).

BTW. I also didn't find any place for the smaller support brackets to bolt onto on the 4runner side.

Would also love to hear tamiyatim's input with pics of how to mount

That's so disappointing, this is exactly what I was looking for. I may just buy and fab some type of mount up. For $140 shipped it may be worth milling and welding a proper mount. Just haven't decided if its even worth the hassle. I want to look again in the morning to get a better idea of mount points and clearance. Do you have a v6 or v8? Think that might make a difference?

Well I think I indeed did it wrong, those L brackets hang down from the outside of the frames, not inside.

I realized this after measuring the spacing between the frames(less than 80 cm) and the spacing on the push bar(about 92 cm).

Actually the holes for bolts on the frame are not at the dead center so they might fit.

However I still can't figure out how to drop the brackets into their positions especially on the driver's side, there's a small radiator with its pipes there and leaves virtually no space for the bracket to go in from above. Tried from underneath as well but bumper itself blocked the way.

Got pictures of exactly what you are looking at? Can you take a pic of the other side? I took a look at behind my grill last night and couldnt figure out where the upper mounts would connect.

Can you take pics of where and how to mount underneath as well?

Most likely ordering this today w/ 3 round lights to mount up.

Pics would definitely be great. My brother's friend said he can take measurements and fab up a part with the right measurements. I just need to meet him so that he may take the measurements with his tools. The seller refunded me $20 for the trouble.

I just bought one, once it comes I will try to take pics of the install and update if I have any fitment issues. We can also work to effectively fabricate a bracket the will fit the frame.

For $140 I couldn't pass up exactly what I have wanted. Rigid Light bar anyone????

well, yes I've got a few pictures taken, but it didn't work even if I corrected my initial mistake

I really don't like the look of those that come with steel bars in front of my headlights but they might be the only way to go

This is how it looks when hung from outside, the holes on the L bracket, clearly missed the holes on the frame.

Then the bracket will be tilted to an unreasonable angle like this:

I wouldn't believe that's how it's supposed to look like.

Hung from inside won't work either, same problem.

I also have no clear idea about where would the bolts of the upper brackets go, maybe into the long but not that wide hole behind the rubber part, but that hole is not even parallel to the long axis of the car and the smaller ones don't really matter if the main L brackets which is so much thicker and stronger can't be installed (My point is that you can't just use them to hold the push bar in place).
