Interesting rear spoiler on that. That's not the stock 07 SE one.

Good call on the V8.

The V8 is unstoppable. I used to have a 2001 Tundra that (I think) had the same engine...never had a problem.

Are the 06 and 07 spoilers typically the same, or are you saying you've never seen that spoiler before? Now that you mention it, I feel like I've started noticing that it's different from others around town...interesting indeed.

03-05 had that spoiler. 06-09 had a hump in it.

The Tundra 2UZ is the American variant with cheap cast internal parts. The Japanese 2UZ has forged internal components and has proven to be a more durable power plant.

I'm guessing the American variants were manufactured in the Alabama factory? I just assumed they just assembled the vehicles with imported engines...not sure why lol. Thanks for the pro tip.

So what's the deal with my spoiler? I feel like there are unique aspects to this particular 4Runner, but I know nothing about 4th gens. For example, it has black leather interior with little tags indicating 'Liquid Gel' or something. Is that just a SE option?

Off topic: should I use loctite on my All Pro spacers?

They might come with a little tube of Loctite... my Spidertrax did, but I used a product called Vibra-Tite on mine. It's pretty good stuff! But anyway, definitely use a thread locker.

Actually, I'm wondering if it might not be a difference between factory installed and dealer installed spoilers ... what I assume is the factory spoiler with the hump looks like this:

But the dealer installed spoiler on my 4Runner (that I bought new) looks like this (sorry for the low picture quality):

Not that I've ever payed close attention, but I'm not sure I've ever seen the spoiler with the hump ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't spoilers standard on the SE?

I believe BlairB has a sport with no rear spoiler: BlairB's 2008 4Runner

It's rare, but possible.

I have the liquid gel leather also. Mine was originally sold in Texas and from what I understand this leather is a factory installed option that was available for 4Runners that came in through through the gulf. Can't remember if it was the Port of Houston specifically or not. Mine is black and I have a SE so it may have been thrown in all SE's.
