Clazzio Seat Covers - Leather, PVC, Suede?
Hey all,
I've never had a leather interior in any of my previous cars (all Toyotas of some sort). Right now I'm toying with the idea of putting in some Clazzio seat covers in my 03 Sport, but am kind of lost at which of the three to choose. I've ridden in cars with leather interiors, but I don't know which cover best emulates that feel. Obviously the perforated leather ones ($449) should be the first choice, but I'm looking to save some dough and would consider the PVC vinyl ones ($270) or the suede ones ($360) should they not make a significant difference. In addition, how well would the different materials hold up under a baking Texas summer?
I've seen spiggie's build thread and must say the leather ones look downright sexy. Thanks for any input.

I ordered Clazzio covers a few weeks ago. They are probably on a freighter heading to the US from Japan. I ordered the leather. I think the leather or PVC are good choices. From the photos I've seen I did not care much for the suede. While at a dealership I was able to check out these covers. The outside, on even the leather covers, are PVC. I was surprised at how the PVC had a leather feel to them. If you don't want to spend a lot, the PVC might be the ticket. A few owners here on the forum were helpful with my purchase. If you have questions about Clazzio's contact TRDSparks. They have great prices & customer service. They may be able to help with your decision.
Cheers

Did you order yours from TRDSparks? I've seen them pop up on eBay but they were only compatible with manual seats. Were you able to specify certain options such as inserts and seat compatibility?

Yes I ordered from TRDSparks. Mine will be Black & Beige to match my tan interior. They had me specify if my seats were manual or not. I believe you can get either from them. Also they offered a discount for forum members. Just mention T4R.ORG when buying from them.

So it was $449 - $60 = $389? Where would I mention the discount? I was originally going to get mine from eBay, but if the discount works out I'd definitely nab them from TRDSparks.

Total was $390 shipped. Send them an email, or call, & ask if there is a discount for forum members. That's what I did & they gave the discounted price.
I had to special order so it's a 8-10 week wait. When I checked with the ebay sellers the covers they had listed also had to be special ordered & the wait was the same. You can confirm this with those sellers.

You could have just said the total price the first time.

Did you check to see if they had the covers you are looking for? Hopefully they are still honoring the discount. The PVC & Suede were also discounted. Not sure of the prices on those. Good luck.

The suede covers look cheap to me. Just my personal opinion. I, like JV & Spiggie, have the perforated leather covers. They are awesome! I also ordered mine from TRD Sparks. My suggestion is to email them & tell them what you are looking for. They can call Clazzio & find out what is currently in stock & what would have to be ordered. If in stock, you can get them in about a week. If they have to order them, you will be looking at a 8-10 week wait to get them. I was also considering getting the all PVC covers. But, the only ones they had in stock were the leather covers. So, I decided to get them instead. I have not regretted my decision for one second! Highly recommend the clazzio covers & also TRD Sparks! Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions or anything.

I've read all of the Clazzio threads I could find, and I think I'm ready to pull the trigger, but have a few final questions. I have a 2003 SR5 with the SE Toyota leather interior. The Clazzio's fit? Seems to be conflicting info. The part of the seat that's PVC looks good, as in not cheap? The bolsters on either side of the seat fit tightly? My rear seat is in great shape, as is the passenger and was going to replace only the drivers side cushion from the guy in Utah, but at $200 for the cushion vs $500 for all of the seats seems like a no-brainer, although the cushion is all leather. Am I figuring all of this right? Thanks!

Clazzios fit over the leather no problem. It's a ***** of an install but that's why I had them do it for me but they are amazing seats. The PVC looks like leather. The guys at the Toyota dealership thought they were Katzkins which are 2x the price.

From what I read, they slip over the existing seats? I've never done upholstery, but I'm fairly handy. I'm tempted to try them myself...BTW, where did you get yours? I see them at $499 everywhere and on the Clazzio web site there is a 10% off code.
