i was also going to suggest the nhtsa's web site too, but just this weekend i was trying to find info on a recall that i know exists, and was in the nhtsa's database about two months ago. and no matter how i did my search this time, i couldn't find the info. in fact, a couple of things that were there before aren't there anymore. i don't know if they changed the database or the search or something, but it's not as good as it used to be.
