Dash overlays. About $190
Coverlay Dash Cover - Coverlay
Apparently you don't have to take the dash out which is huge. If the passenger airbag cutout doesn't bother you, this is the way to go.

Toyota replaced my entire dash in 2005 4runner a few years ago. Dealer called me and did the replacement.
no cost to me. 10% FREE. must have been a recall!

Yep and now it's over.
Translation: us with crack dashes are screwed.

My cracks haven't gotten bigger or more noticeable since I discovered them, but they will be eventually dealt with. I'll go the coverlay route. Personally, I can't stand just throwing a cover on top of the dash

It's $133 for the black on RockAuto which is where I got mine. It's been on for over two years now, very happy with it and most people can't even notice it after you mention it's there. To me, the only solution that actually retains a stock look.

Found this video, very interesting:

Doesn't look too bad to do, just a lot of patience. Worse comes to worse, in another words you completely screw it up, get the Dash Coverlays.

Black? I saw somewhere that the BLACK one is the exact match for our "dark grey" dashes, so it's true that we have to get the black one?

$190 coverlay without a question. Quickest, cheapest and best solution you'll find.. unless of course you want to drive around with carpet on your dash for $35 from amazon lol.
This was the first thing I ordered when I picked up my 03 from Florida last summer. The dash was destroyed. The coverlay fits like a damn glove. Just be careful when ordering if you have a speaker in the center top center of the dash like I did, they have 2 different versions.
