It's funny, I just noticed the same thing with my rear digi-fit WeatherTech floor mats. Why did they design it like that? Question, now that you've done the mod, what if you need to take out the rear mat? Do you need to unscrew that bolt again? When I wash my truck (which hasn't happened since winter came) I always take out my mats and clean them really good. I don't want to be unscrewing and screwing in bolts everytime I take my mats out.

The rear seat doesn't get must use, but I figure I'll think of something when the time comes. Loosen the bolt a little bit? The weather tech in the back is pretty good about keeping debris on the mat (vacuum) then the rest I'll wipe down with a rag.

While that's a great idea. Having a car seat back there I rarely ever fold my seat because removing the car seat is too much of a pita. But with the car seat come cracker and stupid crap everywhere so i wash the mats way more than fold the seat. But to each there own ingenious fix. I would have taken a razor blade to it and cut notches but that's just me ;).

The razor blade was my first instinct, then I figured I'd give this a try for a couple months and see how it works out.

I saw this thread before ordering mine and did this mod within a week of owning them. I also tucking the front end under the back of the center console. Now the rear trash bag holder, which never gets used, can still fold out.

Question Sliding mats

Finally found a thread on WeatherTech mods and thought id ask how everyone is dealing with the passenger side mat sliding everywhere. It doesn't have the retaining tabs like the drivers side.

I don't think we're on the same page. This thread is originally about the 2nd row weather-tech floor-lining to allow seat folding. I'm referring to the front passenger floor lining sliding up and down on the carpet as is obviously does not have retaining hooks as the drivers side does

Haven't done anything to fix the passenger side. I haven't noticed it slide around a lot when someone gets in. It does stay put better with the door shut though.

Is it "really bad" in your observations?

Sorry, I wasn't referring to your post

I have never had an issue with my passenger Digital Fit moving around, can you explain how yours is moving?
