V8 Guys and Gals with Gibson Exhaust
Anyone with the Gibson exhaust on your V8 4Runner mind taking some quick videos of the exhaust outside and inside? I'm trying to decide and about to pull the trigger and order it but it's so hard without hearing it. From what I can find searching here and YouTube there are only 2 videos and neither are all that great...( a lot of background noise). Thanks! Jason

VIDEO, does not do justice, its the best sounding, cheapest price exhaust system I've had. Ordered from Jason Burtman, Hands down, I love it. Great sound. all around very happy.

I've heard they're great too. For those who have them, have you noticed and mpg incrase?

I have to agree with this. I tried taking some videos of it with my iPhone inside and out and they just didn't work well.
The exhaust sounds sweet so far though. Now I just need to figure out how to get it all tightened up and use these clamps properly...

Heres a video of mine. It's on a V6, but i think it sounds pretty much the same, maybe a LITTLE more grunt. Mine should match the V8 since i have the stage 2 AFE CAI

Here's mine: 2004 4RUNNER 4.7 V8 Gibson Cat Back - YouTube
If I get time tomorrow, I'll make a new video with some interior recordings. Need to figure a way to minimize background noise.
I love mine, but I didn't notice any increase in MPG. I certainly drops when I get on it, but I absolutely love the sound. I really like that I can hear a nice little rumble without being at WOT.

Ive notice no change whatsoever with mpg, and I didnt expect it to. THe exhaust notes almost help save gas, due to your hearing the $$$ fly out of the tailpipe !!!lol

Is this the correct part number for it, G2718708? Found it for $281.21 shipped from auto parts wearhouse. Anyone know anything about them? Thanks, Jason

Will this void my toyota warranty if I get this on my 2004 limited? I bought an extended warranty from my credit union when I bought my used truck.

HAHA Id love to hear your reasoning behind this! A V6 will never sound like a V8!

I like the price of the Gibson but really want the Magnaflow Cat-Back. I like how the tips point out sideways behind the tire and generally like the look better. Also, I like the stainless steel construction over the aluminum construction of the Gibson. I'm just waiting for the Magnaflow to go on sale and dip below $500 before I get it. Right now it's priced at $618.64 but a month ago the Magnaflow was $475

No it is not stainless and no it should not void your warranty. I still just need someone to verify the part number for me.. Anyone??
