Am I getting screwed by my service dept.

So my 03 4r's sunroof/moonroof got stuck open on friday ended up taking it in on Monday they had two days to replace the cables to get the damn thing shut.....I wished I had done some hard searching on this problem before I took it in as I probably could of got it shut without spend nearly $2500. No I pick it up last night no probs. Go out this am to start it and first off I notice my rear defogger isn't turning on the switch doesn't light up then there rear wiper washer isn't working like ??? Get home phone the dealership and talk to the service manger shes like well the back window has to be all the way up for those options to work. So while still on the phone with her I got out the 4r to check the back window is up all the way well I stick the key in the hatch to unlock it and drop the window the locks pop but the window doesn't move at all after a few times i give up and go to the drivers seat and fire her up and use the switch in the dash no prob and again ??? I have checked the fuses they are all good so my only guess is they forgot to connect stuff back the when putting it back together?? I'm just hoping they don't try and find another thing to charge me for since all this worked Monday AM before it went in...

Roll the back window all the way down, then all the way up. This resets the rear defogger and will allow you to use the rear wiper. It also zeros the auto down feature on the window.

Note that it will not auto down until you hold it all the way down and all the way up.

This will happen every time you disconnect the battery.

This should solve it, let me know if you have any further issues.

BReardon that did the trick works great!! Now you would think the dealer would tell you need to re-zero everything like that.

I just ran into this, If the window is not all the way up the disconnect mechanism in the gate with automatically shut off the defrost, wiper and, squirter. Make sure the window is all the way up, even if you push on it with your hands
