The bulb is way too hard to get too - besides I think it is led. This is a very easy fix - just be careful to follow the instructions. Make sure you get the proper wires.

That will work just fine.

Allow plenty of time for the mod.

Late update, I tried this mod a few months ago on my 09 V6 TE and the wires are not the same. The pink and black is there but there is no white and black, only grey an black. I tried the scotchlock connector on these wires and my tachometer read zero at idle and fluctuated when revved. Not sure if 09 specific or 4th Gen TE specific. I'd love to lose the tpms light but not at the expense of my tach.

Measured the current between the wires..

Current was 7 mA - good to go here; and this worked for me. These are small wires so be sure your Scotchlok is able to slice through to the copper core. Mine didn't at first try but I went to plan B.

Thanks

Finally did this today, thanks. No Scotchlock for me, just short the wires mentioned.

Knocked this out using a blue ScotchLock - works like a charm.

Took me all of 15 minutes and no more annoying TPMS light!

Tpms

[QUOTE=...... I have been checking my air pressure for 35 years without an ECM telling me I am low, so why start now.]

I to have checked my pressures manually a long time before TPMS. However, one time the light came on while driving and probably saved me from buying a new tire. Sure wish replacements were less expensive.

That's way too complicated! All you need to do is unplug the cable from the TPMS receiver, stick a piece of wire into the connector to disable the warning lamp and ground the other end to the chassis. Then tape up the end and you are done!

On the 08 and newer, doesn't have the white/black wire as stated above. So I tried the pink/black wire and taped it to straight ground, no go on this mod. If any one has found the color codes or straight ground please post.

Didn't work, took awile for the light to come back on, still working on it. 08 t4r.

Edit: This did work on the 08, the connector moved around and didn't make a good contact. I moved it around and light went off, moved again and light came back on. SO good to go.

Just did this today. First time since I purchased the vehicle that I haven't had the light on my dash. Dealership I bought it from installed all new sensors, but was still throwing a light on. I have checked my tire pressure for years, so this light is useless to me. Thanks for this!
