An amendment, and a tips and tricks section. When vehicles have issues and the dealers fix them the problems and repairs are logged with the manufacturer. Certain problems are more difficult to diagnose or repair. And sometimes the original repair method is not right and is "amended".
Example: an abnormally high number of "Prius'" develop a creaking in the front end. As the number of complaints and repairs pile up, Toyota goes through them and find a repair that works better than others. To save time and money they issue a TSB. this tells the techs that if they encounter a Prius exhibiting a creak in the front end, how to check it and the appropriate repair.
