I saw it in post 31 and then I actually saw it in the picture I posted too, but didn't look close enough the first time.
Most tips look like they're a tip. I don't like that look. When I first looked at yours it didn't appear that way, but after I went back and looked more I could see it. Not nearly as bad as some I've seen. I don't like the way the exhaust pipe is thin and dirty looking and then you see this big fat tip on the end. I'd like it to blend more like this exhaust tip

I got ya. But the link you posted is still a straight tip. It's just longer, so it starts back further and is just angled out. Basically that's how all exhaust systems work. RBP sells full systems with black bent pipe, but it still terminates in a tip. Magnaflow, Borla, Flowmaster, they all do it the same. Run pipe for the system and finish with something pretty at the most visible spot, the tip. They do make full stainless systems that are usually expensive, but it's not very economical to run pretty pipe all the way back for your regular consumer. That's usually just for show cars. You'll also run into space constraints if you wanted to plumb a full system with say, larger diameter pipe (than the stock 2.5") and maybe terminate with just a miter cut to keep that uniform look you're looking for.

Hope that makes sense.

Yep, that makes sense! Right, I knew that it's the same, just longer but that's the look I like. I've seen the entire setup and I don't want that, just for the reasons you said. Cost and the fact that you can't see it.
I just don't care for the skinny pipe with a fat piece on the end. It'd be fine if the end was fat, but I don't like the skinny part visible.
Don't mean to clog your build up with photos but just wanted to give you an idea of what I don't think looks good.

When I was looking for a photo to show you I ran across this. I remember seeing in an old post that your wife is a huge hello kitty fan.

Yeah, nice find Terri! I gots to get me one! J/K. I was gonna say,"don't let the wife see that", buts it's so hideous I don't think even SHE would like it. She's pretty tasteful when it comes to cars.

I was actually about to post the same thing about my GF (she also loves hello kitty) but I decided to show it to her instead... She said if we got that we'd have to get the headlight eyelashes, which was her way of saying it looks terrible.

showed it to her... She did the old "awe... that's cute!".

Asked if she'd rock it on her ride..."Um no!"

Sliders and Clazzios

Pretty good build day Saturday. Started at 7am and didn't stop messing around until about 9pm.

On to the aweful phone quality pics:

Weeeeeell now you've gone and done it.... Performed a body mount hack in anticipation of those 33x12.50's

Passenger side:

Driver:

Sliders in the raw:

First coat:

She's patiently awaiting install:

Boxed back in the body mount:

Here we go with burn in:

Post install shots:

So happy to finally get these knocked out. My boys did a great job! Even with the V8, I can definitely feel the extra weight there as well as a new rigidity in the frame and ride from the extra structure.

And now on to the seat covers:

Thought I'd take the oppurtunity to showcase my LED's and dirty wethertechs:

Some daytime shots:

This mod really completed the look of my interior. It took almost 16 weeks to the day to receive mine even though I was given a 10-14 week delivery window. No fault of Sparks Toyota's though, they were just the drop ship order taker.

So my initial thoughts:

Delivery: Slow

Value: Unbelievable. This kit for the price I paid? Nobody comes even close. The quality of materials seem top notch. I did encounter one issue where I broke one of the clips that you pull the strap through. I'm not sure if I'd blame poor quality or just my beastly he-man strength. They even tell you in the directions to be careful not to pull the strings and straps to the point where you start to break stuff.

Fit: Again amazing. As an engineer, I still can't fathom the amount of design and engineering that went into these systems to achieve this sort of fit. And to think, they do this for like every vehicle! Absolutely awesome. The only part that didn't seem to sit to my liking was the inner pocket of the rear arm rest. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with some further adjustment and maybe some Velcro in my opinion.

Looks: Beautiful

Comfort: With the little bit of additional padding as well as how taught that these fit over the seat, it's added a whole new luxury feel to my worn almost 160K mile seats.

Ease of installation: Okay so this one is a little tricky. In the instructions it said it could be a 2hr install. Working alone, taking my time on a hot day that I'd already been worn out on, it took me more along the lines of 3 hrs. Now having the experience, I could see it getting done in 2 if I ever needed to do one again. The install was straight forward and the directions were really good. There are youtube videos that can help you as well (of course). The only part that I found tricky were the headrests, and after you figure out the first one... you still struggle with the rest, just not as much . But nah, not too bad at all.

So I hope that answers any questions. Feel free to ask me anything. As always, Thanks for stopping by!

looks SWEET!!! love those covers. Any thoughts on black rear seat belts since they kinda strap your nice covers with an off color? Those covers look sexy as hell yo! how long did the slider install take?

just an IMO, you probably did it anyway.. just make sure you round out the edges reall smooth on the body mount as if the tire does make contact for whatever reason you wouldnt want it to cut the tire up.

Can't wait to see the meats stuffed in there!!

Thanks brother! Shannon said the same thing about the seat belt. Pretty sure they don't make a 4Runner with black interior (at least to my knowledge) so I'm sort of hosed there. I've seen something where a guy actually dyed his belts and carpet... That's a bit much for me. The grey doesn't actually bother me, since there is grey all over the interior of the car, so it sort of ties everything in.

I was fooling with my sliders for like 4 hours. Only because I hacked 6" out of both of them and put them back together. Painted them, did the body mount chop and then welded them. And yeah, I've already ground the mounts down before I painted them.

Can't wait for the rubber either. It'll still be another month before they're installed though. Then it'll be time to ride again!!!

The sport edition came with black interior. I wish my seat covers fit that well, but hey I only payed 46 for mine so I don't expect the best fit, quality is descent on mine.

Btw aha, that $15 for the RB is coming your way as soon as all these extra expenses go away!
