4runner owners - who are you?
Most of us probably have some kind of stereotype when they think of your typical 4runner owner so it would be interesting to see who we are?
I will start.
I'm 45, work as a computer techinician in a construction company. I use my 4runner as a daily driver, some light off-roaring but nothing serious and road trips. I do most of the easier maintenance myself.
I have silver 2006 limited 4runner V6 in stock condition. This is my 3rd Toyota car, first was a 1981 Celica and the second was a Camry, in between I had few VW's.

I'm 24. Currently working towards a PhD in chemical engineering. I use my 4Runner daily for commuting to/from lab and sometimes on fishing trips during the weekends.
This is my 3rd car. First car was a 1990 Toyota camry, which was totaled when I got into an overturn accident. My second car was a 1997 Honda accord, which I used through out my undergraduate years. The 4Runner is the newest car I've ever own and I'm really happy with it so far.

I'm 25. I'm a full-time student working on my transfer to earn a bachelor's degree in business - concentration in accounting. Even though I'm working on this, I'm putting a few eggs in another basket - firefighting. I work part-time as an accounting assistant.
This is my first vehicle, which I've owned right after high school. I initially wanted a sports car of some sort, like a 350Z or a WRX STi (I still would not mind owning either vehicle) , but I am glad that I bought this.
Eventually, when I earn more money, I would like to take 4Runner offroading and to the snow and/or beach more.

Woah I'm finishing my PhD in chemical engineering this spring!
My first car was a 94 Toyota 4runner with the old 3.0L V6 that was slow as a slug. Sold that for a 97 Honda Prelude. Upgraded to a 06 Infiniti G35 coupe, and traded that at a major loss for the 4runner with more miles and extra cash. Got the 4runner because I was tired of bumming rides to the mountain in the winter for snowboarding, and to the crags in the spring/summer/fall for climbing. The 4runner does it all but the gas bills kinda hurt

I'm 21, full time student aiming for a bachelors in mechanical engineering, might go further when I get to the point. My 2006 4runner is my DD, but I'm looking for a 07-09 duramax to be my new daily and fully modify my 4runner/keep the miles off it. My 4runner see's drag racing, auto cross, roadtrips, etc. This is my 2nd vehicle, my first was a 1997 Rav4 which I got when I was a junior in highschool.

Im a 31 year old steam engineer working on LNG transport tankers. I payed for my school with money earned from boardercross. After 16 years of riding I quit snowboarding all together a couple years back after a multiple surgerys, many broken bones, and a destroyed back (compressed and herneated a couple disks). I also have well over 40 hours worth of tattoo's.
I only use my 4runner to exercise my 2 year old husky (20 or so offroad kms/day). Most of the work on the 4runner has been done by myself and my cousin (a heavy duty mechanic). Previously I owned a jacked up 92 F250 until I broke it.

RE: Who are you?
I'm a United States Marine, and I have been in for 10 years. I'm 30 years old and currently on a deployment with the 11th MEU. My job in the USMC is to fix and fly on helicopters. I commute 72 miles a day round trip in my v8, but it is well worth it.

Im a 37 yr. old Engineering Technology teacher in western massachusetts. My 08 is MY daily driver, and my 03 is my wife's daily driver. I commute about 4.5 miles to and from work, then another 1/2 mile to the gym after teaching all day.
My Runners are stock, except for a Scion radio switch and some mats. There are a LOT of suped-up 4x4's out here in western mass, but i honestly have no time for that kid of stuff. It doesnt interest me. Im building a new house out here, so that's eating up my time.

I'm a 59yo Vietnam Veteran.
BS Computer Science and MS in Applied Mathematics.
Current job is VP of software development for a small Telecom company.
In my younger days I was a power lifter. That was 30 years ago. But I still lift every day...although I'm now 100lbs lighter. A member of the 300 club (bench press not weight).
My 4runner is my daily driver. My company moved closer to Boston..so my commute from NH is now about 40k miles/year. At least my 4runner is enjoyable to ride.

Navy vet gunners mate and diver, disabled unfortunately. Hey all you vets, I salute you! I am recoopin from Spine surgery so I am Mr. Mom-a Residential Engineer! I was going to college for Envn Sci with an empasis on Marine studies but my spine said no.
My 4Runner is a daily driver, family taxi/Soccer mom bus, Rausch Creek offroad champ, vacation airplane carrier. I have some mods but can't do them all myself because of my injuries.
I have met some great people on here to offroad with and offer advice.

I'm a 27 y.o. Clinical Psychology M.S. student, currently waiting to hear back from several PhD programs; I also have a B.S. in Chemistry. I'm a MacGyver-esque DIYer, that's mostly how I fund the addiction. I bought my 4R as a daily driver and for road trips, I didn't plan to mod it but after drooling on the forum and spending some time out west on a few trails I decided to do what I could with a 2wd. I got bit by the mod bug with my first truck and it's a hard habit to kick.
The 4R is my 2nd vehicle, I still have my 2000 Silverado Z71 but don't drive it often. The Z is pretty ragged out from off-roading weekly for several years. I also have a '75 Wagoneer I'm trying to build, but it's slow-going now.

Cool thread!
I'm 27 and am currently working as a firefighter/emt. I've been on the job for 5 years. I'm an eagle scout, love anything outdoors, offroading, photography, mountain biking etc.
I'm of Irish descent and my favorite holiday is this Saturday, I love trying new beers and grilling out too. I also love nice watches.
I went to the University of Kansas as a psychology major but left to pursue my firefighting career. I'm also an eagle scout. I'm probably one of the most loyal people you will ever meet.
My wife is pregnant and we are expecting our first child June 6th, we're having a little girl, but in the sonograms it looks like she has huge feet, so we'll see lol.
Anyone on here that knows me also knows that I can be a smartass and would do anything for a laugh. I'm sure you guys have all seen my 06 4runner too, which I love to off road and continuously mod. Before the 4runner I drove a 2005 Chevy silverado z71. My next mod to the 4runner will probably be a snorkel then a child seat.
Lastly I'm trying to leave the fire service to pursue a career in law enforcement. I've wanted to be a police officer my whole life even though I do love the fire service.
If you guys want to know anything else just ask!
Here's me "following rules" at the auto show the other day.
