I don't know if I'd ever trust aluminum lug nuts... I feel like they'd strip out too often and really is the like 1-2 pounds of weight saving really worth the hassle? Why not just use those little clips GM uses to secure the brake rotors on during manufacturing? :P

I still have the stock 18inch Limited wheels so I believe I still need a lug nut with the mag seat type and washer like the factory ones. The only problem is that I have had two different sets of the factory chrome covered lug nuts and they both have begun to rust when the chrome cover gets cracked and water gets in there. They look horrible. I want to upgrade to a stainless lug nut or something that won't rust so easily. Anyone running a different brand lug nut on their stock wheels? I have noticed that the Tundra lug nuts of the same generation as my 4Runner don't seem to wear as bad or rust, but I am not sure if they are compatible.

So I take it these are the same but different in a way? I'm just trying to learn the way of 4Runners lol. I didn't realize how spoiled I've been to own a '99 SR5.

if your aftermarket wheels can take the e/t lugs, use them.

only way to find out is put the lug nuts on and see if they will go through with the wheels off the truck. do not use e/t lugs if they wont go through holt holes, youll end up damaging the bolt holes on the wheels.

most wheels have the standard 60 degree acorn seat.
