installed sony nav. now 4 runner wont start

Last night i installed a Sony double din with nav in the 2005 Toyota 4 runner limited.

The factory unit is a non-nav JBL. I used the PAC TATO JBL interface harness. I connected The park brake wire to Pin #1 of 24-pin plug on front of dash fuse panel, L.GN wire. I did not hook up the speed input or reverse, I also did not buy the harness for steering wheel controls.

Everything was working fine and i had the vehicle running. then i took the dash back apart to run the cable for the nav module.

when i got it all back together and turned it on the sony unit shuts down if i honk the horn/step on break/turn the heat/ac fan on. etc. and the vehicle also won't start.

I noticed when i reconnect the battery the DRL flash twice but i can't seem to find what that means

Any help would be apprectated.

Sound like you have a short or grounded something out accidently. Also make sure your battery is good maybe you drained it and now it's bad? or just low?
Also trace your steps back from what you last did take it out check the wires and connections. Or maybe move them around and try to start it that may show a short. I used to do allot of trouble shooting for truck drivers over the phone for a large company for years and found usually it was something simple most the time like a dead battery, You can just take your time reversing what you did trying and testing one step at a time good luck hang in there you figure it out.

Glad to hear you have the problem worked out. What model # head unit did you get? Going to start looking for a nav to replace the P.O.S. tomtom in my runner. It likes to reboot itself anytime I try to use it to find somewhere. A real pain in the arse.
