Post Winter Tires for 03 Runner

I am looking to put some winter tires on my V8 2003 Runner. I am trying to decide between the Bridgestone Blizzak DMZ2 tires or the Michelin 4x4 Alpins. I am getting the 16" steel rims from Toyota to put them on as no 17" rims are made yet.
I need members to give their views on which would be better? The Michelins are $100 cheaper for a set.
Here in Southern Ontario Canada we have a mixed bag of snow ice and slush. The amount of snow can vary from quite a bit to none.
Members views please!!!!!!

With the larger brake rotors, will the 16" wheels work?

Post What about Toyo?

My service manager suggested the 16" rims for the vehicle as Toyota does not make a steel 17" model yet. I have to assume that he knows of what he speaks. The brakes on the Limited are NOT the bigger ones that come on the Sport model.
I have found that TOYO makes a winter tire of that size. Does anyone wish to comment on how they are or just how Toyo tires are in general? The price is cheaper.
Thanks

Guys, I just got a brand new set of the 17" limited wheels from EBAY for $436 plus shipping that I will use as a winter tire set. This is the second brand new set I have seen. Keep an eye out on EBAY for some great catchs. I am not sure what they retail new for but has to be around $200 - $300 each.

Also what have you heard about the Z3 Blizzaks over the Z2's any good word on them?

Here is another auction where a set was sold for a little over $400.

Thanks.
