I have a general understanding of those modes but haven't used them yet. This video might give you a little more insight on those modes.

So far the biggest thing for me is that it has removed all throttle lag on the street. I am not driving hard or anything but just like the response.

As far as the high beams, absolutely! The low beams were good but compared to my HID's they were not as impressive. But part of that could be that the projectors are meant for halogen/HID bulbs.

If you have been on the fence about the Throttle Grenade here is a giveaway on Instagram that might help. Go to my page urban_overland and check it out.

When I first bought this truck on Nov 20, 2002 (20 years ago today) i never would have imagined that i would have kept it for 20 years. Up until that point i had only kept vehicles for 4-5 years. This is by far my favorite vehicle i have owned.

Absolutely gorgeous truck Mo!
I would bet your build has inspired quite a few people over the years.
When I first bought my 5th gen in 2015 and was searching the web for parts and mod ideas, pictures of your truck and a few others would pop into my feed. These pics also inspired me to join the forum a short time later.
Also, I never knew the T4R had a V8 option until I viewed your pics.
Then a pic of Sam's build
@ LTDSC
came across my feed later that spring, which inspired my 4th gen build a couple years later.
Thanks Mo!

I personally loved the all blacked out look you had going on with the black wheels, but the machined wheels look great as well. What matters most is it looks the way you want now

I liked it to but has gotten old. Every time I would see pics with the machine wheels on it I wished I still had them......if only there was a button that could switch them back and forth depending on mood....lol

Yep, machined wheels all the way. Those look nice. I Still have the original wheels on my '03 Limited.

Nice look Momo! For the Cladding, did you have to buy them from Toyota or find them elsewhere? I'm trying to color match my green early model similar to yours!

Thanks. I had looked at ordering the panels from Toyota but it was going to be really expensive. I got lucky and found a 4Runner in a salvage yard with good panels and pretty cheap. Then I had them color matched. I did order all new clips and adhesive strips when I put them on.
I had also looking into having the gray cladding painted but had seen mixed reviews on doing this. They have to be prepped just right or the paint with flake.
