Added a 4th Gen to the fleet

I just bought my wife a 2006 4Runner Sr5 V6 2wd.

We were needing a larger vehicle and I asked her what she thought about getting another 4Runner since we liked mine so much and she said yes, but she wanted a 4th gen not a 3rd gen. Works for me. 4wd wasn't in the cards for us but still like it a lot and she is really happy. Coming from a Civic we are taking a hit on the gas mileage but we knew that going in.

Now I have to read through both gens forums, not that I mind.

Welcome...

So does her 4runner act strange around you because it can smell your 4Runner on you?

It is actually the other way around, my 4Runner acts strange because it can smell the newer one. It is still the Alpha 4Runner though so it is okay.

I really enjoy driving the new one and it is fun to see all the things that they improved over the previous generation. The engine power is very noticeable and it can be hard going from that back to the 3.4L with 33" tires. Who knows maybe when she is done with it I will do a 4x4 conversion and make it mine.
