Recently had work done to my 2004 sport edition 4runner for a 125,000 mile major tuneup and needed advice on some things, remembered this site and whalla! I'm back. Last post on this site was 6 years ago (and back a 100,000 miles)....a few weeks after i bought my 4runner. I kinda dropped off the board and had just a regular ol SUV for these last years with the occasional trip down some muddy roads and sandy beaches. Well that is no more! This weekend FINALLY lifting my truck like I've always wanted it. Bilstein 5100 adjustables in the front to 1.75", and Bilstein 5100's in the back with maybe a new spring or coil spacer if it doesnt level out the way I want it. Ordered a man-a-fre front skid plate tonight as well. Added a K&N a few months back, new Hella lights and light bar up front, current tires are 265/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers with 60k+ miles on them which have treated me insanely well.
from my most recent trip to the mountains in socal..cannot wait to take this thing out into the dunes later. In the 6 years I've had this car the only thing i've ever had to replace was regular engine oil and a new water pump two weeks ago, prob from a long drive across the country from VA to CA towing a HEAVY a$% trailer. This car is one of my best investments ever ...before and after pics of the install to come...with new tires a month or two after, must get things done before fiance finds out!!
