Is my stock suspension going bad or is this normal?
Hey guys,
I have an '03 V8 4x4. I loaded my old rims into the back of the truck to sell them locally. I also had two bowling balls (mine and my girlfriend's) back there. I'm not sure how much the rims weigh, but my point is that there was a decent amount of extra weight back there. The truck felt sooo much smoother than with no weight. I felt like I was floating on a cloud compared to when i ride with no weight. It is the stock suspension. Does this mean there's something wrong with it such as leaks? I always heard more weight = more bounce. But it absorbed bumps so much better with weight back there. Thanks.

agreed, the truck likes to carry lots of cargo it's not so happy when it doesnt have anything to carry so it bounces around to entertain itself lol. just a fun way to think about it.

I wouldn't go that far. The rear coils are actually quite soft.
