Cool Who's cool 4runner was this in Plano,TX yesterday? (pic)

(Assuming you're even on 4runner.org lol) Yesterday (5/28) i was at REI in Plano picking up stuff for my next road trip to Zion National Park next month when i noticed this nice silver 4th gen runner parked way out in the lot in front of REI. I always read about all these cool lifts and see pics of everyones shrockworks bumpers on the forums but have never seen a fully modded 4runner in real life here. It was neat seeing this 4runner and just wanna say that i though it looked really good and whoever owns it was taking good care of it.

Looks like it had:
-Yakima roof rack (wish i had this)
-Shrockworks front bumper
-Tube steps
-Lightforce lights (nice!)
-Front winch
-BFGoodrich All Terrain (i'm thinking of getting these soon)
-Lift of some kind and shocks? (i'll eventually get this)
-Some kind of black rims (don't know what kind but looked nice)

If it's no ones 4runner here then enjoy the pic of this cool 4runner! (Mines the one on the right)

It looks good, did he have a basket on the rack too or just bike mounts?

You mean that's not a Rav4? LoL Just kidding, yeah its funy how mild mods like a lift and tires can make a stock 4Runner look puny.

I hope my 4Runner looks like that when it grows up. Once I get a real suspension set up and $1800 for a bumper put away.

To the OP though, you should just toss a daystar kit on your 4Runner, it's cheap and relatively easy for a huge impovement in appearance. That's what I did to hold me over until I can convert my rear air suspension.

Wow what a difference a lift makes. At first glance, your truck reminded me of the Colorado HiPo cars. Probably just some wire in my brain is tuned to tingle upon glimpsing the rough color and outline of the bar...

I have no lift on mine either, so please don't be offended. Makes a cheap daystar kit look worthwhile though eh?

Hmm...I live about 1/4 mile from that REI store and I've never seen either one of those rigs. That's a good looking truck for sure.

PS - Love me some Snuffers.

4runners' 4runner is 2wd tho. So it's stock height is 1-2" lower than 4wd stock height. A stock 4wd 4runner won't look that much lower next to that beast...

Daystar kit is one of the least expensive ways to do it. That bumper is pricey but worth it. For the amount i spent in REI that day my 4runner could have been half way to this! lol

no offense taken sure does make a daystar kit look worthwile. I need new tires by fall-winterish so i might drop money on a lift by then. Those Colorado patrol cars look slick! I would think for Colorado's terrain they would have had SUVs. 4runners would be nice lol
