Do it. They can always be cut back off later on fairly easy with an angle grinder and cutting wheel.

What is involved in converting to HID leadlamps and fogs? Just a plug and play kit or more?

HID kits are plug and play, I recommend getting relay wiring harnesses to go with the HID's to help support them. I had issues on my 03 without using a relay harness

zstampe, awesome build man! You have a very clean truck.
I just bought the FJ Trail Teams suspension. I see you're one of the few people on this forum to have tried these out with front and rear FJ coils. Did you have a lift with this as well?
I would like to lift my 06 V6 SR5 4WD, but am kinda confused about the proper lift to get. Also, would you get a FJ lift kit or a 4Runner lift kit since you are putting FJ shocks on a 4Runner?
