Howsit guys! I'm stoked on all your rigs on here. I just picked up an 08' Sport 2wd V6 (4x4 is hard to find here in Hawaii) with 34k miles and am planning on a small kine lift and one size bigger tires. So far my plan is Daystar lift, BFG KO tires, the OEM Sport rims with Spidertrax spacers.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

to T4R.ORG !! How about a picture or two of your beautiful new rig on the beautiful Island...
This was my 06' Taco TRD Sport 4x4 I sold to make room for the wifey and baby Noah. We had that truck a solid 5 years but it was time for a more family friendly vehicle, aka 4Runner

While I affirm your decision to become a 4Runner owner and welcome you to the forum, I am saddened that you had to part with that beautiful Taco.
Good luck with a future 4WD model. I feel your pain about locality to a certain extent. I just picked up a 2006 Taco DC SB 4x4 TRD Offroad with 124K miles for my son's 17th birthday. There were none to be found in Dallas/Ft Worth, but at least I was able to drive 4 hours away to buy one. I guess that's the trade-off of you residing in paradise.

Thanks brother. Taco's are the #1 truck on the road here...literally 6 out of 10 trucks on the road are Toyota's here and they hold their value like no other. Mine had 60k miles and I sold it for a little under $24k. "Oh what a feeling!"
This past spring I purchased a 2004 4runner from Northeast_T4R and had it shipped from MA to replace my 1990 4runner. Both have 4.7:1 t-case gears and 4.88 axle gears, but the auto and ARB's in the 2004 make it much easier to crawl up ledges.
We took a road trip this summer from Colorado to the Oregon coast. The V6 was decent considering the trailer is 4100 lbs empty, so probably close to 5000 lbs loaded up. We painted the trailer to try and match the 4runner:
We went to Moab a couple weeks ago and I ended up towing my friends cherokee for 5 miles off the poison spider mesa trail (dead fuel pump):
