The most rediculous thread you have ever read

So I got this toytec ultimate lift installed.
On a trip to the beach (60 miles) round trip, I averaged 1.5 mpg BETTER than I did before the lift. This is according to the "wish-o-meter" as someone on the board dubbed it.

The tires remain unchanged, though I did have an alignment, and new front axels installed, so all things are not equal.

Do you think the alignment made the difference?

No. Driving style.

I would be willing to be you drove slightly more conservative with the new lift, even if you didn't do it consciously.
Edit: Unless we are talking serious out of alignment. Then, sure... heavy misalignment has the tires being scrapped slightly, which increases drag. How out of alignment were you?

I don't think I was out of alignment, but the guys that installed the lift told me to get an alignment when they were done, so I did.

You might be right about driving more conservative.
