Fog light & DRL bulb went out... do I need new sockets?

So a few months ago my right fog lamp went out and I thought it was just the bulb that went out. When I checked it out I saw some burnt marks on the bulb and inside the socket but the inside wire was still intact. They are 55w putco yellow bulbs so I didn't put in a higher output bulb. I bought new bulbs and it worked when I tested it once and now it doesn't work again. My left DRL bulb went out recently which made me replace both sets of bulbs. The DRL socket also has some burnt marks inside and on the bulb, but both bulbs look intact internally. Anyone else encounter this issue and what did you do to fix it?

Yup, had the same thing happen to my DRL/turn signals. Replaced the bulbs, burned out in like 3 days. So bought new sockets and upon further inspection found they had black marks on the socket where it looks like it got fried. Replaced sockets in dealership parking lot and have been fine ever since.

so i double checked the bulb and it wasn't all the way inside the socket, so after pushing it in completely I don't have any issues so far. I checked my fog lamp connector and it looks like the plastics inside fell apart making the connect loose. Hopefullly I can rig it to make a better connection for the fog light bulb.
