Shifter movement

I have an 02 4wd auto, and i noticed that when crusing bumpy or rough roads there is alot of movement and bounce in the shifter handle, just seems kinda wierd. anyone else notice the same?

Seen the same here

I've got a 02 Sport Edition 4wd/Auto that I recently purchased.

My shift lever does move around quite a bit on rough surfaces and bumps -- to the point where it's not only visible, but I can hear it as well. Sort of sounds like it is "slightly" trying to change gears...

I must admit it's got me a little concerned, but I haven't found much to do about it or if it's really even an issue. I've seen references on this forum to the movement issue, so I know it's not uncommon.
