You can claim all you want that the dealer did someone (unclear who) a favor but they flat out didn't unless it was for a large fleet buyer (previous owner of yours maybe) and they sucked up the cost to preserve the relationship. They didn't sink $1600 into an individual buying cheap used vehicles unless it was a condition of the sale (which means they made a lot more than $1600 on the sale).
Naw man, my buddy bought his 4runner from a private sale and took it to the dealership a few days after purchasing LOL as I previously said, some dealers are better than others...

Mine has been cracked since last year, doesn't seem to be getting worse (so far). I still put Meguiars dash protectant on it , maybe that is helping, I dunno. The coverlay product seems to be only logical (and financial) way to go. What I HATE about it is the passenger airbag "hole" it comes with. That would stab my eyes everytime I saw. I've been playing with the idea of taking the dash off and sending it to (don't know yet) have it covered (wrapped, don't know the term) with leather with stitching anywhere there is a corner. I've seen it on other cars and it looks gorgeous.

But alas, being poor sucks...................................

Cracked Dash - 2003 T4R

This is a stretch, but here goes anyway:
Any of you guys have the OEM New stock dash that you didn’t use?

Toyota Part # 5540135909B1

I’m looking everywhere for one to replace the cracked dash on my 2003 Limited.

If you locate one for me, I’ll flip ya a $100 finders fee.

My T4R is impeccable except for the dash.

Video/manual needed for dash swap

I might have found a dash to swap out for my cracked ‘04 one. I see the pics, but in todays age, does anyone know where I can get a video tutorial or the Factory service manual to step me through it?

Thanks!

Do you have to take the steering wheel off to remove dash OR can you tilt it lower and still have the room to remove?
