Long story leading to a simple question about the third brake light

So our 2008 4Runner was damaged by hail earlier this year. The roof was repainted and the stuff up top was removed for the repaint. After we had the car for awhile we saw one of the LEDs in the third brake light isn't working. We moved about a week after getting the 4Runner out of the body shop so now I have to fix it.

I removed the light from the rear spoiler (yes, we have the wing at the top of the rear tailgate) and it looks like it is a sealed unit that isn't meant to have bulbs replaced. So do I need to replace the entire unit? Is it inexpensive?

Incidentally, after removing and reinstalling it there are now two lights not working.

That thread should answer your question. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the 2008 and 2005 spoiler.

Check your manual for instructions also!

Yikes!!! $143!! And here I was figuring if it was less than $50 then I would spring for a new one....

I'm gonna' take that booger off and see if I can't take it apart and solder it back to working order!!

Thanks for the help guys - you answered my questions exactly!
