tires rubbing on full left hand turns

I have a 03 2wd w/ 17 limited style wheel and stock tire. ON full left turns, if I hit uneven surface or a minor dip, there is a rubbing sound coming from the front wheel. Does anyone have this problem? Thanks.

way ahead of ya

I've been rubbing at full lock making right turns on my 265/70/16's since around March (4 months old at the time)

EDIT: still running at 11 months old now.

The rubbing is from the mud flaps check your mud flap and you'll notice it.

Could it be those rubber "spikes" on a new tire that is touching your fender??

But, if GoodTimes has it for 4 months now, then i guess it may be true.

That's interesting.

doesnt matter

actual tire size is the same.

265/65/17
30.6 Diameter
10.4 Width
6.8 Height

265/70/16
30.6 Diameter
10.4 With
7.3 Height

265/70/16 = 265/65/17

Diameter and Width are the same so the overall tires are the same.

I have the 265 65 17. I will check to see if it is the mudflapps. I was concerned that something major was rubbing becasue it sounded kind of bad. Thank you all for helping.

They're working on my driveshaft today and should be done tomorrow (if they don't run into any problems).

They said it's a different design build so they said it might take more time.

Looks like I'll have a new rebuilt driveshaft! (prob be lighter/thinner yet stronger)

Can't wait till I'm back on the road...
